TARLETON INTERIORS DISPLAYS REDESIGN OF CAPITOL HILL CONGRESSIONAL QUARTERS
In designing this room our inspiration came from the young congresswoman or congressman with very refined taste. We wanted this office to evoke a sense of luxury, yet classical with an edge. The soothing color pallet we used came from the tones of gold and grey in the Galleria area rug. The clean lined grey velvet sofa is from Hickory Chair. The zebra mahogany desk and chair and bergère chair from Dessin Fournir. The antiqued mirror folding screen behind the desk is from Amy Howard. The faux windows were hand painted with the Washington skyline by a student from the City Arts Program. The walls are a Farrow and Ball wallpaper in grey and gold, helping to keep the room from being too stark. The contemporary art gives the room a little edge. All these fine furnishings meld to create this luxurious office and library.
