WE’RE SO PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS CLASSIC BOOK

LOTUS HOUSE IN GREAT AMERICAN HOMES VOLUME TWO

Just moving to the Atlanta area from Maryland, we were so pleased to be invited to participate in the 2011 Atlanta Symphony Show House “Lotus House,” the beautifully-designed home for the Deshpande’s. The home was designed by the very talented architect William T. Baker designed to blend the Dehpande’s culture of India with the Georgia setting.

Our space is the Upper Foyer and Hall where we also embraced their culture with our theme. Custom laser-cut wood panels inserted into a set of French doors conjure feelings of India and the intricate details in Indian architecture and interiors. The hand-painted exotic flower vines wall mural in silver leaf paint with mirrored discs suggests water droplets that grace the foyer walls.

Furniture is kept simple. Two vintage chairs with a shimmery fabric and a lucite table from Grizzle and Mann on top of a beautiful antique Oushak rug in very subtle tones from Keivan Rugs.

Our experience with the Atlanta design community and working on this show house was so embracing. We are looking forward to participating in another.
